Master Builders South Australia is the leading industry association for employers in the building and construction sector. We provide expert workplace relations advice to our members and are seeking a dedicated Workplace Relations Lawyer to join our team.

 

About the Role

This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality workplace and industrial relations advice to member employers. It involves:

  • Providing telephone-based advice on various workplace relations issues

  • Drafting employment contracts, enterprise agreements and other legal documents

  • Unfair Dismissals, Terminations, Redundancies, Underpayment of Wages

  • Award interpretation, advising on pay rates, and assisting with policy advice

  • Assisting Workplace Relations Director on various legal matters and legal research

  • Delivering administrative support and maintaining legal documentation

 

What We Are Looking For

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in workplace and industrial relations, preferably in construction, but not essential.

  • Strong legal research and drafting skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer-service focus

  • The ability to work efficiently under time pressures and manage multiple tasks

Experience in representing clients in South Australian Employment Tribunals, unfair dismissal claims, and delivering legal presentations is desirable but not essential. A White Card can be obtained upon employment if required.
