We are looking for experienced Team Leaders/House Managers with disability experience to manage our new SIL houses. Multiple Permanent/ Part Time positions available.

The Team Leader is purpose driven and responsible for day to day supervision and administration responsibilities to ensure Choice N Control participants are receiving quality, person-centered and customer-focused outcomes. The main Duties/Responsibilities of the role include:

 
  • Participate with induction and maintaining a workforce that meets the needs of the customers and standards of the organisation.
  • Liaise with team to ensure a smooth transition of new participants into the service.
  • Mentor and lead effective practice to staff working with clients, provide support to families and carers.
  • Ensuring all Support Workers receive a high level of ground coaching and supervision.
  • Ensure active support is provided to participants, which provides the participant with as much choice and control and independence as possible without compromising Choice N Controls duty of care to the customer.
  • Implementing a planned approach to the professional development of the team, and identify skills gaps within the team.
  • Provide regular supervision and role modelling to ensure team members work collaboratively and effectively as a team.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance. Implement performance improvement plans as and when needed.
  • Ensure all customers have accurate and up to date Individual Support Plans, End of Plan Reports, Risk Assessments and other relevant documentation.
  • Engage in continuous improvement through identification of improvements in area.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of customer information in accordance with Choice N Controls relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ongoing reporting to Senior Management.
  • Conduct investigations of all staff and participant incidents, as well as NDIS reportable incidents.
  • Responsible for enforcing a safe and healthy work environment.
  •  Certificate III,  IV or degree in Disability, Social Work, Health or  Community Service; or proven relevant experience.
  • Experience in the co-ordination and management of a SIL services for people with behaviour of concern
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage crisis and critical issues and deal with complex and challenging situation.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching and staff supervision in a team environment.
  • Experience working in the Disability and Community setting with an accommodation facility supporting clients with high/complex needs.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
  • Extensive knowledge regarding relevant legislation in the disability sector.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Able to obtain and provide evidence of vaccinations against COVID-19

  • Unrestricted Driver’s licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Valid CPR Certificate
