Our client is seeking a visionary Program Director to spearhead a pioneering project aimed at bridging the gap between skilled migrants and local employers. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving economic growth by ensuring the successful recruitment and placement of top-tier international talent.   • Program Development and Oversight: Lead the creation and implementation of a strategic plan for the program, aligning with government goals for the construction industry. Take full responsibility for the program’s success and the performance of the team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong partnerships with government agencies, industry associations, and community groups to ensure robust support and collaboration for the program.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Oversee the development of innovative recruitment strategies to attract highly skilled workers from overseas. Manage the entire selection process, ensuring that candidates meet the qualifications and licensing requirements to work in South Australia’s construction sector.
  • Visa Processing: Collaborate with immigration authorities to streamline visa processing, ensuring that approved candidates are quickly and efficiently transitioned into their new roles.
  • Settlement Services: Work alongside relevant stakeholders and government programs to provide comprehensive settlement services for new arrivals, including cultural orientation and accreditation training to bridge any skill gaps.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously track and assess the program’s effectiveness in addressing skill shortages and meeting the evolving needs of the construction industry.
  • Policy Advocacy: Represent our client at key industry events and government forums, advocating for policies that support the program’s objectives and contribute to its success.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior leadership role within talent acquisition, with a focus on international recruitment or the immigration sector.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful talent acquisition programs.
  • Deep understanding of immigration policy and skilled migration procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and delivering results.
