About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time while supporting financial reporting, compliance and organisational decision-making.
This is a varied, hands-on role that will suit someone who enjoys working autonomously, has exceptional attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
General ledger maintenance, journals, accruals and prepayments
Month-end processing and financial reporting
Preparation of BAS and statutory reporting
Payroll compliance, superannuation and award interpretation
Fixed asset register maintenance
Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting
Audit preparation and external audit support
Maintaining MYOB financial records
Identifying opportunities to improve finance systems and processes
Providing responsive finance support to internal stakeholders
About You
You are an organised and proactive finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of your work and building positive relationships across an organisation.
You’ll ideally bring:
Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Bookkeeping (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a finance, bookkeeping or payroll position
Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger processes
Experience completing reconciliations, journals and month-end reporting
High-level Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
The ability to prioritise competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Outstanding communication and customer service skills
Highly Regarded
MYOB Accounting and Payroll experience
Experience within the not-for-profit sector
BAS preparation and statutory reporting
Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
Experience supporting external audits
Experience improving finance systems and business processes
