Operations Manager – V.I.P Commercial Cleaning

Location: Adelaide SA Region

Reports to: National General Manager, Commercial Cleaning

Due to continued growth and service demand, a rare opportunity has become available to join one of Australia’s leading franchise organisations in a key operational leadership role.

Established in 1972, V.I.P. Home Services was Australia’s first franchised home services business and has grown into an award-winning franchise system with over 700 franchisees throughout Australasia and New Zealand. Our Commercial Cleaning division delivers high-quality cleaning and facility services to corporate and SME clients nationwide.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a background in commercial cleaning and ideally franchising. This position is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of sites and franchisees, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting client satisfaction across the region.

Working closely with the National General Manager, Sales and Operations Managers, you will play a key role in coordinating service delivery, supporting franchisees to succeed, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

·       Manage day-to-day operations across a portfolio of commercial cleaning sites

·       Maintain strong client relationships and ensure service standards are met

·       Provide hands-on support, mentoring, and operational advice to franchisees

·       Coordinate onboarding, induction, and ongoing training of franchisees

·       Resolve compliance issues and escalate concerns as required

·       Conduct routine audits and inspections to ensure quality standards

·       Coordinate additional services such as periodic and specialised cleaning

·       Lead site start-ups and ensure a smooth operational transition for new contracts

·       Maintain accurate documentation and reporting across all operational activities

·       Act as the first point of contact for operational issues and service escalations

·       Work collaboratively with internal teams to align service outcomes with business goals

·       Act as the first point of contact for operational issues and service escalations, out-of-hour work may be required.

Skills & Experience Required

·       Demonstrated operational management experience in commercial cleaning.

·       Strong franchisee or contractor support experience, including mentoring and troubleshooting

·       Experience using CRM systems is required, with Salesforce experience highly regarded

·       Excellent client relationship and stakeholder engagement skills

·       Sound problem-solving ability with a proactive and hands-on approach

·       Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

·       Strong organisational and communication skills

·       Intermediate to advanced computer literacy
