Looking for a job that’s literally cool?

We’re seeking a reliable and energetic Duty Manager to help lead shifts at our busy Ice Arena. This is a hands-on role where no two shifts are the same. One minute you might be helping a birthday party, the next you’re supervising staff, managing a busy public session, or driving the ice resurfacer (Zamboni) to keep the ice in top condition.

If you’re someone who enjoys staying busy, leading a team, and delivering great customer experiences — this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

·       Supervise and lead a team of junior staff during busy sessions

·       Deliver excellent customer   service to skaters, families and hockey players

·       Assist with the daily operation of the venue

·       Learn to operate the ice resurfacer (Zamboni)

·       Ensure the venue remains clean, safe and well presented

·       Support events, birthday parties and public skating sessions

·       Manage incidents and ensure safety procedures are followed

·       Jump in wherever needed to keep the venue running smoothly

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

·       Has strong leadership and communication skills

·       Has excellent mechanical aptitude and enjoys understanding how things work

·       Is hands-on and proactive — you don’t wait to be told what needs doing

·       Has a customer-first attitude

·       Can confidently manage young staff and busy environments

·       Is comfortable working in cold conditions

·       Can remain calm, organised and friendly under pressure

·       Has a good sense of humour and team spirit

Essential Requirements

·       Current First Aid Certificate

·       Working With Children Check (WWCC)

·       Current Driver’s Licence with an excellent driving record

·       Availability to work weekends and some evenings

·       Ability to work on your feet and stay active during shifts
