Conduct Engaging Training Sessions: Lead informative and interactive training sessions for students pursuing Disability and Aged Care qualifications, utilising a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
Curriculum Delivery and Review: Deliver a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with current industry standards and best practices, ensuring that students gain practical and theoretical knowledge. Input and support into ongoing review of training resources.
Assess and Evaluate Student Progress: Monitor and evaluate student performance through assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and professional growth.
Create an Inclusive Learning Environment: Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.
Stay Informed on care support Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments, research, and trends in the disability and aged sectors to ensure that the training provided is relevant and forward-thinking.
Mentor and Support Students: Offer guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their career goals.
Collaborate for Program Improvement: Work collaboratively with colleagues to review and enhance training programs, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in Disability and Aged Care support.
Industry Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (minimum Cert III Individual Support) and licenses, including a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
RN or EN qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Teaching Experience: Proven experience in teaching or training, with a strong background in Disability and Aged Care. Experience in a similar training role is highly desirable.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students and colleagues.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and other professionals in the field.
Passion for Education: A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering the next generation of Disability and Aged Care professionals.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and respond effectively to a range of learning styles and challenges.
