Master Builders SA is seeking an energetic and motivated Born to Build Field Officer to inspire the next generation of construction professionals and promote apprenticeships across South Australia.
As the face of the Born to Build program, you’ll work directly with schools, students, parents, community groups, training providers and industry stakeholders to showcase the exciting career opportunities available in the building and construction industry.

Master Builders SA is the peak body for the building and construction industry in South Australia. Through the Born to Build program, we connect young people, sportspeople or career changers with exciting opportunities while helping build the skilled workforce our industry needs for the future.
About the Role
In this highly engaging and people-focused role, you will:
Promote Construction Careers
Deliver presentations to schools, parents, community groups, sporting clubs and industry stakeholders.
Attend career expos, industry events and community activities.
Promote apprenticeships as a valuable and rewarding career pathway.
Support the continued growth of the Born to Build program.
Inspire Through Hands-On Activities
Organise and facilitate practical hands-on trade activities for students.
Deliver engaging workshops and interactive career experiences.
Develop activities that showcase careers within the building and construction industry.
Recruit and Support Future Apprentices
Identify and engage potential apprentices.
Conduct pre-screening interviews and provide career guidance.
Assist candidates in securing work experience opportunities.
Work closely with schools, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and industry partners to create pathways into apprenticeships.
Build Industry Relationships
Develop strong relationships with VET Coordinators, schools, RTOs, sporting clubs and industry stakeholders.
Collaborate with industry partners and Group Training Organisations to support apprentice placements.
Represent Master Builders SA across the education, training and construction sectors.
Drive Outcomes
Maintain accurate records and reporting.
Track recruitment activities, presentations, events and apprentice outcomes.
Contribute to achieving key program and funding targets.
About You

Strong administration and reporting capabilities.
A genuine passion for supporting young people and career development.
Highly Regarded
Experience within the building and construction industry.
Trade qualification or practical construction experience.
Understanding of apprenticeships and vocational education pathways.
Stakeholder engagement, community outreach or business development experience.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Requirements
Current National Police Clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain Child Safe clearances.
Willingness to travel throughout South Australia, including occasional overnight stays.
Availability to attend events outside standard business hours when required.
Current driver’s licence.
