The Role: Technician

As a Technician, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring fleets operate seamlessly. From installing advanced systems like CCTV and telematics to performing top-notch repairs, this is a role that offers variety and satisfaction. The Technician will be the expert clients rely on, providing creative solutions to complex problems—all while working independently at client locations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Expertise: Perform electrical installations and light mechanical tasks to keep vehicles at peak performance.
  • Innovative Installations: Install and configure advanced vehicle systems like CCTV, ticketing, telematics, and asset tracking.
  • Problem-Solving Pro: Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle electrical and mechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  • Customer Champion: Provide exceptional service by communicating clearly and addressing client needs proactively.
  • Independent Operator: Manage the day autonomously, traveling to client sites and ensuring that every job exceeds expectations.

 

What They Are Looking For

  • Experience & Skills: Proven expertise in automotive electrical systems, light mechanical work, and diagnosing faults.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with job management software (like Service Mate) to organize tasks and log activities.
  • Customer Focus: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical details in simple terms.
  • Independence: Self-motivated with strong time management skills, capable of thriving with minimal supervision.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required for this mobile role.
