We are seeking support workers experienced in Disability support.
As a Support Worker, you will use a strength-based approach to support participants to live a meaningful and satisfying life. You will support participants to increase their access to appropriate support services, personal capacity, community participation and social connections.
The successful applicants should have:
- Cert III in Individual Support, Disability or Mental Health.
- Working with children clearance
- Worked in a mental health capacity with people who display challenging behaviour.
- A strong understanding of mental health disorders and trauma
- Ability to work well independently and in a team, following support and management plans.
- A flexible can-do attitude with the ability to quickly form positive relationships.
- The availability to work overnights, both actively and sleeping over with attractive penalty rates included.
- Current working with Vulnerable People DHS check
- NDIS clearance
- Valid National Police Check
- Current First Aid
- Drivers Licence
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Ideally you would have completed Management of Actual or Potential Aggression (MAPA) training or Mental Health First Aid Certificate.
